Guards at the Taj
Agra. 1648. Two guards, Babur and Humayun, stand watch before the newly unveiled Taj Mahal, the most beautiful creation in the known world.
Humayun is a second-generation civil servant who believes in strict obedience to authority and ritually espouses the value of the rules laid down by His Most Supreme Glorious Emperor Shah Jahan.
Babur, on the other hand, has the gentle soul of a philosopher who dreams only of fantastical inventions and space exploration.
As the two bask in the wonderment of Taj Mahal, their story takes a turn for the macabre when they are assigned a cruel task the likes of which they had never imagined possible.
Will their friendship survive the trial of life?
